| And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. | And I say to you: You are Peter, and on this rock I will build my Church, and the gates of the netherworld will not prevail against it. |
| The liberal soul shall be made fat: and he that watereth shall be watered also himself. | A generous person will be enriched; he who refreshes others will also be refreshed. |

| And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God. | The angel answered, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you.
