- For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, “The just shall live by faith.”

So you do not know the works of God who makes everything. - Adulterers and adulteresses! Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Whoever therefore wants to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God.
- That is, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation.
- Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.
- He who sins is of the devil, for the devil has sinned from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil.
- Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all longsuffering and teaching.
- For what man knows the things of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God.
- You are my hiding place and my shield;

And in His word I do hope. - Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God! Therefore the world does not know us, because it did not know Him.
- And the angel answered and said to her, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Highest will overshadow you; therefore, also, that Holy One who is to be born will be called the Son of God.”
- For prophecy never came by the will of man, but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit.
- In God (I will praise His word),
In God I have put my trust;
I will not fear.
What can flesh do to me? - Your word I have hidden in my heart,
That I might not sin against You. - He who believes in the Son has everlasting life; and he who does not believe the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him.
- Therefore, having these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.
- How can a young man cleanse his way?
By taking heed according to Your word. - I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.
- Blessed and holy is he who has part in the first resurrection. Over such the second death has no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with Him a thousand years.
