  • Remember, Lord, Your compassion and Your faithfulness,
    For they have been from of old.
    Do not remember the sins of my youth or my wrongdoings;
    Remember me according to Your faithfulness,
    For Your goodness’ sake, Lord.
  • For if you forgive other people for their offenses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.
  • Jesus answered them, “Truly, truly I say to you, everyone who commits sin is a slave of sin.”
  • And those who are in the flesh cannot please God.
  • For the one who sows to his own flesh will reap destruction from the flesh, but the one who sows to the Spirit will reap eternal life from the Spirit.
  • How blessed is he whose wrongdoing is forgiven,
    Whose sin is covered!
  • For the wages of sin is death, but the gracious gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
  • The mentioning of the righteous is a blessing,
    But the name of the wicked will rot.
  • Therefore repent and return, so that your sins may be wiped away, in order that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord.
  • Be angry, and yet do not sin; do not let the sun go down on your anger, and do not give the devil an opportunity.
  • The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the Law.
  • So it shall be when he becomes guilty of one of these things, that he shall confess that in which he has sinned.
  • Repent and turn away from all your offenses, so that wrongdoing does not become a stumbling block to you.
  • What shall we say then? Are we to continue in sin so that grace may increase? Far from it! How shall we who died to sin still live in it?
  • For I will be merciful toward their wrongdoings,
    And their sins I will no longer remember.
  • There is a way which seems right to a person,
    But its end is the way of death.
  • The one who practices sin is of the devil; for the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The Son of God appeared for this purpose, to destroy the works of the devil.
  • But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not carry out the desire of the flesh.
  • He made Him who knew no sin to be sin in our behalf, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.
  • Everyone who practices sin also practices lawlessness; and sin is lawlessness.
  • We have sinned, we have done wrong, and acted wickedly and rebelled, even turning aside from Your commandments and ordinances.
  • Now if a person sins and does any of the things which the Lord has commanded not to be done, though he was unaware, he is still guilty and shall bear his punishment.
  • Sober up morally and stop sinning, for some have no knowledge of God. I say this to your shame.
  • But the Scripture has confined everyone under sin, so that the promise by faith in Jesus Christ might be given to those who believe.
  • “Come now, and let us debate your case,”
    Says the Lord,
    “Though your sins are as scarlet,
    They shall become as white as snow;
    Though they are red like crimson,
    They shall be like wool.”

When there are many words, wrongdoing is unavoidable,
But one who restrains his lips is wise.
