- But the Scripture has confined everyone under sin, so that the promise by faith in Jesus Christ might be given to those who believe.

- Wash yourselves, make yourselves clean;
Remove the evil of your deeds from My sight.
Stop doing evil. - The way of the Lord is a stronghold for the upright,
But ruin to the workers of injustice. - This is the message we have heard from Him and announce to you, that God is Light, and in Him there is no darkness at all.
- And do not go on presenting the parts of your body to sin as instruments of unrighteousness; but present yourselves to God as those who are alive from the dead, and your body’s parts as instruments of righteousness for God.
- Therefore, since Christ has suffered in the flesh, arm yourselves also with the same purpose, because the one who has suffered in the flesh has ceased from sin.
- One who keeps the commandment keeps his soul,
But one who is careless of conduct will die. - Namely, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not counting their wrongdoings against them, and He has committed to us the word of reconciliation.
- Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together and made themselves waist coverings.
- I have wiped out your wrongdoings like a thick cloud
And your sins like a heavy mist.
Return to Me, for I have redeemed you. - In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins.
- When I kept silent about my sin, my body wasted away
Through my groaning all day long. - You lust and do not have, so you commit murder. And you are envious and cannot obtain, so you fight and quarrel. You do not have because you do not ask.
- Therefore, since we also have such a great cloud of witnesses surrounding us, let’s rid ourselves of every obstacle and the sin which so easily entangles us, and let’s run with endurance the race that is set before us.
- As far as the east is from the west,
So far has He removed our wrongdoings from us. - But if you do not forgive other people, then your Father will not forgive your offenses.
