Trust (2/3)

How abundant are the good things that you have stored up for those who fear you, that you bestow in the sight of all, on those who take refuge in you.Oh how great is your goodness, which you have laid up for those who fear you, which you have worked for those who take refuge in you, before the sons of men!
In God, whose word I praise— in God I trust and am not afraid. What can mere mortals do to me?In God, I praise his word. In God, I put my trust. I will not be afraid. What can flesh do to me?
Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world.Beloved, don’t believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world.
And if we know that he hears us—whatever we ask—we know that we have what we asked of him.And if we know that he listens to us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions which we have asked of him.
It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to trust in humans. It is better to take refuge in Yahweh, than to put confidence in man.
The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and he helps me. My heart leaps for joy, and with my song I praise him.Yahweh is my strength and my shield. My heart has trusted in him, and I am helped. Therefore my heart greatly rejoices. With my song I will thank him.
Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me.Don’t let your heart be troubled. Believe in God. Believe also in me.
You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you.You will keep whoever’s mind is steadfast in perfect peace, because he trusts in you.
Those who know your name trust in you, for you, Lord, have never forsaken those who seek you. Those who know your name will put their trust in you, for you, Yahweh, have not forsaken those who seek you.
Dear friends, if our hearts do not condemn us, we have confidence before God and receive from him anything we ask, because we keep his commands and do what pleases him.Beloved, if our hearts don’t condemn us, we have boldness toward God; so whatever we ask, we receive from him, because we keep his commandments and do the things that are pleasing in his sight.
But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently. But if we hope for that which we don’t see, we wait for it with patience.
Keep me safe, my God, for in you I take refuge.Preserve me, God, for I take refuge in you.
I am not saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances. Not that I speak because of lack, for I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content in it.
But I trust in your unfailing love; my heart rejoices in your salvation. I will sing the Lord’s praise, for he has been good to me.But I trust in your loving kindness. My heart rejoices in your salvation. I will sing to Yahweh, because he has been good to me.
Though an army besiege me, my heart will not fear; though war break out against me, even then I will be confident.Though an army should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear. Though war should rise against me, even then I will be confident.
He replied, “Because you have so little faith. Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.”He said to them, “Because of your unbelief. For most certainly I tell you, if you have faith as a grain of mustard seed, you will tell this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you.”
May your unfailing love be with us, Lord, even as we put our hope in you.Let your loving kindness be on us, Yahweh, since we have hoped in you.
“Though the mountains be shaken and the hills be removed, yet my unfailing love for you will not be shaken nor my covenant of peace be removed,” says the Lord, who has compassion on you.“For the mountains may depart, and the hills be removed, but my loving kindness will not depart from you, and my covenant of peace will not be removed,” says Yahweh who has mercy on you.
The Lord makes firm the steps of the one who delights in him.A man’s steps are established by Yahweh. He delights in his way.
Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.Doesn’t rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, and endures all things.
Truly I tell you, if anyone says to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and does not doubt in their heart but believes that what they say will happen, it will be done for them. For most certainly I tell you, whoever may tell this mountain, ‘Be taken up and cast into the sea,’ and doesn’t doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says is happening, he shall have whatever he says.
Truly he is my rock and my salvation; he is my fortress, I will not be shaken. He alone is my rock and my salvation, my fortress. I will not be shaken.
I remain confident of this: I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.I am still confident of this: I will see the goodness of Yahweh in the land of the living.
And now, dear children, continue in him, so that when he appears we may be confident and unashamed before him at his coming. Now, little children, remain in him, that when he appears, we may have boldness and not be ashamed before him at his coming.
Do not envy the violent or choose any of their ways. For the Lord detests the perverse but takes the upright into his confidence.Don’t envy the man of violence. Choose none of his ways. For the perverse is an abomination to Yahweh, but his friendship is with the upright.

We have come to share in Christ, if indeed we hold our original conviction firmly to the very end.For we have become partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence firm to the end.
