| Rejoice evermore. Pray without ceasing. In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. | Freut euch allezeit! Betet unablässig! Sagt in allem Dank! Denn dies ist der Wille Gottes in Christus Jesus für euch. |

| Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also ye do. | Deshalb ermahnt einander und erbaut einer den anderen, wie ihr auch tut! |

| For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. | Denn der Herr selbst wird beim Befehlsruf, bei der Stimme eines Erzengels und bei dem Schall der Posaune Gottes herabkommen vom Himmel, und die Toten in Christus werden zuerst auferstehen; danach werden wir, die Lebenden, die übrig bleiben, zugleich mit ihnen entrückt werden in Wolken dem Herrn entgegen in die Luft; und so werden wir allezeit beim Herrn sein. |

| For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. | Denn wenn wir glauben, dass Jesus gestorben und auferstanden ist, wird auch Gott ebenso die Entschlafenen durch Jesus mit ihm bringen. |

| And the Lord make you to increase and abound in love one toward another, and toward all men, even as we do toward you. | Euch aber lasse der Herr zunehmen und überreich werden in der Liebe zueinander und zu allen - wie auch wir euch gegenüber sind. |

| Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it. | Treu ist, der euch beruft; er wird es auch tun. |

| Prove all things; hold fast that which is good. Abstain from all appearance of evil. | Prüft aber alles, das Gute haltet fest! Von aller Art des Bösen haltet euch fern! |

| See that none render evil for evil unto any man; but ever follow that which is good, both among yourselves, and to all men. | Seht zu, dass niemand einem anderen Böses mit Bösem vergelte, sondern strebt allezeit dem Guten nach gegeneinander und gegen alle! |

| Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober. | Also lasst uns nun nicht schlafen wie die Übrigen, sondern wachen und nüchtern sein! |
