Chinese (traditional)Go your way—eat your bread with joy, and drink your wine with a merry heart; for God has already accepted your works. For,
“He who would love life
and see good days,
let him keep his tongue from evil
and his lips from speaking deceit.
Let him turn away from evil and do good.
Let him seek peace and pursue it.” For the word of God is living and active, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and is able to discern the thoughts and intentions of the heart. My son, if your heart is wise,
then my heart will be glad, even mine. For so has the Lord commanded us, saying,
‘I have set you as a light for the Gentiles,
that you should bring salvation to the uttermost parts of the earth.’ These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may continue to believe in the name of the Son of God. A fool shows his annoyance the same day,
but one who overlooks an insult is prudent. For the Son of Man came to seek and to save that which was lost. For all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God; being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus. He who gets wisdom loves his own soul.
He who keeps understanding shall find good. Whatever you will ask in my name, I will do it, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. Don’t be anxious for your life, what you will eat, nor yet for your body, what you will wear. Life is more than food, and the body is more than clothing. I cried to him with my mouth.
He was extolled with my tongue. But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well. Now may the God of peace, who brought again from the dead the great shepherd of the sheep with the blood of an eternal covenant, our Lord Jesus, make you complete in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is well pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be the glory forever and ever. Amen. Commit your way to Yahweh.
Trust also in him, and he will do this:
he will make your righteousness shine out like light,
and your justice as the noon day sun. He who believes in me, as the Scripture has said, from within him will flow rivers of living water. Yahweh restored Job’s prosperity when he prayed for his friends. Yahweh gave Job twice as much as he had before. Also delight yourself in Yahweh,
and he will give you the desires of your heart. But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts. Always be ready to give an answer to everyone who asks you a reason concerning the hope that is in you, with humility and fear. But the Counselor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things, and will remind you of all that I said to you. I know that there is nothing better for them than to rejoice, and to do good as long as they live. Also that every man should eat and drink, and enjoy good in all his labor, is the gift of God. Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners. Purify your hearts, you double-minded. But God, being rich in mercy, for his great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead through our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ—by grace you have been saved. Teach me to do your will,
for you are my God.
Your Spirit is good.
Lead me in the land of uprightness. But he answered, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of God’s mouth.’” Don’t be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God. There are many plans in a man’s heart,
but Yahweh’s counsel will prevail. But from there you shall seek Yahweh your God, and you will find him when you search after him with all your heart and with all your soul. When the Counselor has come, whom I will send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth, who proceeds from the Father, he will testify about me. Be strong, and let your heart take courage,
all you who hope in Yahweh. He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the Good News to the whole creation.” For the word of God is living and active, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and is able to discern the thoughts and intentions of the heart.Next verse! With image
