Chinese (traditional)Know therefore that Yahweh your God himself is God, the faithful God, who keeps covenant and loving kindness to a thousand generations with those who love him and keep his commandments. I, even I, am he who comforts you.
Who are you, that you are afraid of man who shall die,
and of the son of man who will be made as grass? The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, God’s love, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all. Amen. ‘You shall not murder.’ ‘You shall not commit adultery.’ ‘You shall not steal.’ ‘You shall not offer false testimony.’ ‘Honor your father and your mother.’ And, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ Your word is a lamp to my feet,
and a light for my path. Yahweh your God is gracious and merciful, and will not turn away his face from you if you return to him. Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will not be hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty.” Don’t be wise in your own eyes.
Fear Yahweh, and depart from evil.
It will be health to your body,
and nourishment to your bones. For if the readiness is there, it is acceptable according to what you have, not according to what you don’t have. But who am I, and what is my people, that we should be able to offer so willingly as this? For all things come from you, and we have given you of your own. Better is a little that the righteous has,
than the abundance of many wicked.
For the arms of the wicked shall be broken,
but Yahweh upholds the righteous. Be free from the love of money, content with such things as you have, for he has said, “I will in no way leave you, neither will I in any way forsake you.” See the birds of the sky, that they don’t sow, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns. Your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren’t you of much more value than they? The fear of Yahweh is the beginning of knowledge,
but the foolish despise wisdom and instruction. For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision amounts to anything, but faith working through love. And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body, and be thankful. For Yahweh loves justice,
and doesn’t forsake his saints.
They are preserved forever,
but the children of the wicked shall be cut off. Oh that there were such a heart in them that they would fear me and keep all my commandments always, that it might be well with them and with their children forever! Out of the same mouth comes blessing and cursing. My brothers, these things ought not to be so. Open your mouth, judge righteously,
and serve justice to the poor and needy. But he said, “On the contrary, blessed are those who hear the word of God, and keep it.” I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Yahweh will command his loving kindness in the daytime.
In the night his song shall be with me:
a prayer to the God of my life. That their hearts may be comforted, they being knit together in love, and gaining all riches of the full assurance of understanding, that they may know the mystery of God, both of the Father and of Christ. But now faith, hope, and love remain—these three. The greatest of these is love. So you shall know wisdom to be to your soul.
If you have found it, then there will be a reward:
Your hope will not be cut off. For we walk by faith, not by sight. Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you; not as the world gives, I give to you. Don’t let your heart be troubled, neither let it be fearful. Yahweh preserves the foreigners.
He upholds the fatherless and widow,
but he turns the way of the wicked upside down. Beloved, if God loved us in this way, we also ought to love one another. Therefore exhort one another, and build each other up, even as you also do. He who didn’t spare his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how would he not also with him freely give us all things?
