Know therefore that the Lord thy God, he is God, the faithful God, which keepeth covenant and mercy with them that love him and keep his commandments to a thousand generations. I, even I, am he that comforteth you:
who art thou, that thou shouldest be afraid of a man that shall die,
and of the son of man which shall be made as grass. The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Ghost, be with you all. Amen. Thou shalt do no murder, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Honour thy father and thy mother: and, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. Thy word is a lamp unto my feet,
and a light unto my path. For the Lord your God is gracious and merciful, and will not turn away his face from you, if ye return unto him. And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst. Be not wise in thine own eyes:
fear the Lord, and depart from evil.
It shall be health to thy navel,
and marrow to thy bones. For if there be first a willing mind, it is accepted according to that a man hath, and not according to that he hath not. But who am I, and what is my people, that we should be able to offer so willingly after this sort? for all things come of thee, and of thine own have we given thee. A little that a righteous man hath
is better than the riches of many wicked.
For the arms of the wicked shall be broken:
but the Lord upholdeth the righteous. Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they? The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge:
but fools despise wisdom and instruction. For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision; but faith which worketh by love. And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful. For the Lord loveth judgment,
and forsaketh not his saints;
they are preserved for ever:
but the seed of the wicked shall be cut off. O that there were such an heart in them, that they would fear me, and keep all my commandments always, that it might be well with them, and with their children for ever! Out of the same mouth proceedeth blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not so to be. Open thy mouth, judge righteously,
and plead the cause of the poor and needy. But he said, Yea rather, blessed are they that hear the word of God, and keep it. I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me. Yet the Lord will command his lovingkindness in the day time,
and in the night his song shall be with me,
and my prayer unto the God of my life. That their hearts might be comforted, being knit together in love, and unto all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the acknowledgement of the mystery of God, and of the Father, and of Christ. And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity. So shall the knowledge of wisdom be unto thy soul:
when thou hast found it, then there shall be a reward,
and thy expectation shall not be cut off. For we walk by faith, not by sight. Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. The Lord preserveth the strangers;
he relieveth the fatherless and widow:
but the way of the wicked he turneth upside down. Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another. Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also ye do. Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ. The Lord bless thee, and keep thee:
The Lord make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee:
The Lord lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.Next verse!With image
