Faith (2/4)

For you are all children of God, through faith in Christ Jesus. For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ. For you are all children of God through faith in Christ Jesus. And all who have been united with Christ in baptism have put on Christ, like putting on new clothes.
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only born Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life. For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.
But now faith, hope, and love remain—these three. The greatest of these is love.Three things will last forever—faith, hope, and love—and the greatest of these is love.
Even so faith, if it has no works, is dead in itself. So you see, faith by itself isn’t enough. Unless it produces good deeds, it is dead and useless.
He said to them, “Because of your unbelief. For most certainly I tell you, if you have faith as a grain of mustard seed, you will tell this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you.”“You don’t have enough faith,” Jesus told them. “I tell you the truth, if you had faith even as small as a mustard seed, you could say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it would move. Nothing would be impossible.”
They said, “Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household.”They replied, “Believe in the Lord Jesus and you will be saved, along with everyone in your household.”
He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who disbelieves will be condemned.Anyone who believes and is baptized will be saved. But anyone who refuses to believe will be condemned.
For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes in him will not be disappointed.”As the Scriptures tell us, “Anyone who trusts in him will never be disgraced.”
So faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.So faith comes from hearing, that is, hearing the Good News about Christ.
Let no man despise your youth; but be an example to those who believe, in word, in your way of life, in love, in spirit, in faith, and in purity.Don’t let anyone think less of you because you are young. Be an example to all believers in what you say, in the way you live, in your love, your faith, and your purity.
Fight the good fight of faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called, and you confessed the good confession in the sight of many witnesses.Fight the good fight for the true faith. Hold tightly to the eternal life to which God has called you, which you have declared so well before many witnesses.
Looking to Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising its shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith. Because of the joy awaiting him, he endured the cross, disregarding its shame. Now he is seated in the place of honor beside God’s throne.
These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may continue to believe in the name of the Son of God.I have written this to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, so that you may know you have eternal life.
Yes, and for this very cause adding on your part all diligence, in your faith supply moral excellence; and in moral excellence, knowledge; and in knowledge, self-control; and in self-control, perseverance; and in perseverance, godliness; and in godliness, brotherly affection; and in brotherly affection, love.In view of all this, make every effort to respond to God’s promises. Supplement your faith with a generous provision of moral excellence, and moral excellence with knowledge, and knowledge with self-control, and self-control with patient endurance, and patient endurance with godliness, and godliness with brotherly affection, and brotherly affection with love for everyone.
He who believes in me, as the Scripture has said, from within him will flow rivers of living water.Anyone who believes in me may come and drink! For the Scriptures declare, ‘Rivers of living water will flow from his heart.’
For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, that no one would boast.God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God. Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it.
Jesus answered them, “This is the work of God, that you believe in him whom he has sent.”Jesus told them, “This is the only work God wants from you: Believe in the one he has sent.”
For most certainly I tell you, whoever may tell this mountain, ‘Be taken up and cast into the sea,’ and doesn’t doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says is happening, he shall have whatever he says.I tell you the truth, you can say to this mountain, ‘May you be lifted up and thrown into the sea,’ and it will happen. But you must really believe it will happen and have no doubt in your heart.
We are bound to always give thanks to God for you, brothers, even as it is appropriate, because your faith grows exceedingly, and the love of each and every one of you toward one another abounds.Dear brothers and sisters, we can’t help but thank God for you, because your faith is flourishing and your love for one another is growing.
I have been crucified with Christ, and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. That life which I now live in the flesh, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself up for me.My old self has been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. So I live in this earthly body by trusting in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
That if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. If you openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
Jesus said to him, “Because you have seen me, you have believed. Blessed are those who have not seen and have believed.”Then Jesus told him, “You believe because you have seen me. Blessed are those who believe without seeing me.”
Behold, his soul is puffed up. It is not upright in him, but the righteous will live by his faith.Look at the proud! They trust in themselves, and their lives are crooked. But the righteous will live by their faithfulness to God.
But Jesus hearing it, answered him, “Don’t be afraid. Only believe, and she will be healed.”But when Jesus heard what had happened, he said to Jairus, “Don’t be afraid. Just have faith, and she will be healed.”
Because it has been granted to you on behalf of Christ, not only to believe in him, but also to suffer on his behalf. For you have been given not only the privilege of trusting in Christ but also the privilege of suffering for him.

Jesus answered them, “Most certainly I tell you, if you have faith and don’t doubt, you will not only do what was done to the fig tree, but even if you told this mountain, ‘Be taken up and cast into the sea,’ it would be done.”Then Jesus told them, “I tell you the truth, if you have faith and don’t doubt, you can do things like this and much more. You can even say to this mountain, ‘May you be lifted up and thrown into the sea,’ and it will happen.”
