We all stumble in many ways. Anyone who is never at fault in what they say is perfect, able to keep their whole body in check. | For we all stumble in many things. If anyone does not stumble in word, he is a perfect man, able also to bridle the whole body. |
Out of the same mouth come praise and cursing. My brothers and sisters, this should not be. | Out of the same mouth proceed blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not to be so. |

Who is wise and understanding among you? Let them show it by their good life, by deeds done in the humility that comes from wisdom. | Who is wise and understanding among you? Let him show by good conduct that his works are done in the meekness of wisdom. |
For where you have envy and selfish ambition, there you find disorder and every evil practice. | For where envy and self-seeking exist, confusion and every evil thing are there. |
But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere. | But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy. |
Peacemakers who sow in peace reap a harvest of righteousness. | Now the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace. |
