- All Scripture is inspired by God and beneficial for teaching, for rebuke, for correction, for training in righteousness; so that the man or woman of God may be fully capable, equipped for every good work.
- For in Him we live and move and exist, as even some of your own poets have said, ‘For we also are His descendants.’
- But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.
- For this is what the high and exalted One
Who lives forever, whose name is Holy, says:
“I dwell in a high and holy place,
And also with the contrite and lowly of spirit
In order to revive the spirit of the lowly
And to revive the heart of the contrite.” - For this is what the Lord says to the house of Israel:
“Seek Me so that you may live.” - Teach me Your way, Lord;
I will walk in Your truth;
Unite my heart to fear Your name. - Listen, my son, and accept my sayings,
And the years of your life will be many. - Those whom I love, I rebuke and discipline; therefore be zealous and repent.
- The Lord redeems the souls of His servants,
And none of those who take refuge in Him will suffer for their guilt. - The earth is the Lord’s, and all it contains,
The world, and those who live in it. - So you are to be holy to Me, for I the Lord am holy; and I have singled you out from the peoples to be Mine.
- All things came into being through Him, and apart from Him not even one thing came into being that has come into being.
- But I am hard-pressed from both directions, having the desire to depart and be with Christ, for that is very much better; yet to remain on in the flesh is more necessary for your sakes.
- As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good in order to bring about this present result, to keep many people alive.
- Then the Lord God said, “Behold, the man has become like one of Us, knowing good and evil; and now, he might reach out with his hand, and take fruit also from the tree of life, and eat, and live forever”— therefore the Lord God sent him out of the Garden of Eden, to cultivate the ground from which he was taken.
- The conclusion, when everything has been heard, is: fear God and keep His commandments, because this applies to every person.
- Blessed are those whose way is blameless,
Who walk in the Law of the Lord. - Therefore, since we also have such a great cloud of witnesses surrounding us, let’s rid ourselves of every obstacle and the sin which so easily entangles us, and let’s run with endurance the race that is set before us.
- In the exercise of His will He gave us birth by the word of truth, so that we would be a kind of first fruits among His creatures.
- For the love of Christ controls us, having concluded this, that one died for all, therefore all died; and He died for all, so that those who live would no longer live for themselves, but for Him who died and rose on their behalf.
- Therefore produce fruit consistent with repentance.
- For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord; walk as children of light.
- For His divine power has granted to us everything pertaining to life and godliness, through the true knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and excellence.
- For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake, this is the one who will save it.
- For we have become partakers of Christ if we keep the beginning of our commitment firm until the end.
