- For you have need of endurance, so that when you have done the will of God you may receive what is promised.
- For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit set their minds on the things of the Spirit.
- But whoever does what is true comes to the light, so that it may be clearly seen that his works have been carried out in God.
- If one turns away his ear from hearing the law,
even his prayer is an abomination. - I am the true vine, and my Father is the vinedresser. Every branch in me that does not bear fruit he takes away, and every branch that does bear fruit he prunes, that it may bear more fruit.
- I delight to do your will, O my God;
your law is within my heart. - But this command I gave them: ‘Obey my voice, and I will be your God, and you shall be my people. And walk in all the way that I command you, that it may be well with you.’
- And the Lord commanded us to do all these statutes, to fear the Lord our God, for our good always, that he might preserve us alive, as we are this day.
- To those who by patience in well-doing seek for glory and honor and immortality, he will give eternal life.
