- Commit to the Lord whatever you do,
and he will establish your plans. - Trust in the Lord with all your heart
and lean not on your own understanding;
in all your ways submit to him,
and he will make your paths straight. - Let love and faithfulness never leave you;
bind them around your neck,
write them on the tablet of your heart.
Then you will win favor and a good name
in the sight of God and man. - Whoever would foster love covers over an offense,
but whoever repeats the matter separates close friends. - Above all else, guard your heart,
for everything you do flows from it. - As water reflects the face,
so one’s life reflects the heart. - Start children off on the way they should go,
and even when they are old they will not turn from it. - Whoever pursues righteousness and love
finds life, prosperity and honor. - A generous person will prosper;
whoever refreshes others will be refreshed. - For the Lord gives wisdom;
from his mouth come knowledge and understanding.
Live in harmony with one another. Do not be proud, but be willing to associate with people of low position. Do not be conceited.
