- Though one may be overpowered,
two can defend themselves.
A cord of three strands is not quickly broken. - If either of them falls down,
one can help the other up.
But pity anyone who falls
and has no one to help them up. - Two are better than one,
because they have a good return for their labor. - Do not say, “Why were the old days better than these?”
For it is not wise to ask such questions. - There is a time for everything,
and a season for every activity under the heavens. - So then, banish anxiety from your heart
and cast off the troubles of your body,
for youth and vigor are meaningless. - Whoever loves money never has enough;
whoever loves wealth is never satisfied with their income.
This too is meaningless. - As you do not know the path of the wind,
or how the body is formed in a mother’s womb,
so you cannot understand the work of God,
the Maker of all things. - Go, eat your food with gladness, and drink your wine with a joyful heart, for God has already approved what you do.
- He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end.
For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies.Next verse!With image
