- When pride comes, then comes disgrace,
but with humility comes wisdom. - The integrity of the upright guides them,
but the unfaithful are destroyed by their duplicity. - Wealth is worthless in the day of wrath,
but righteousness delivers from death. - With their mouths the godless destroy their neighbors,
but through knowledge the righteous escape. - A gossip betrays a confidence,
but a trustworthy person keeps a secret. - A wicked person earns deceptive wages,
but the one who sows righteousness reaps a sure reward. - A generous person will prosper;
whoever refreshes others will be refreshed.
“Go,” said Jesus, “your faith has healed you.” Immediately he received his sight and followed Jesus along the road. Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward.
