- So shall my word be that goes out from my mouth;
it shall not return to me empty,
but it shall accomplish that which I purpose,
and succeed in the thing for which I sent it. - God is faithful; by him you were called into the fellowship of his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.

- God is not a human being, that he should lie,
or a mortal, that he should change his mind.
Has he promised, and will he not do it?
Has he spoken, and will he not fulfill it? - Rend your hearts and not your clothing.
Return to the Lord, your God,
for he is gracious and merciful,
slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast love,
and relents from punishing. - For who is God, but the Lord?
And who is a rock, except our God? - Teach me your way, O Lord,
that I may walk in your truth;
give me an undivided heart to revere your name. - For truly I tell you, until heaven and earth pass away, not one letter, not one stroke of a letter, will pass from the law until all is accomplished.
- You shall not murder; You shall not commit adultery; You shall not steal; You shall not bear false witness; Honor your father and mother; also, You shall love your neighbor as yourself.
- The Lord our God be with us, as he was with our ancestors; may he not leave us or abandon us.
- A faithful witness does not lie,
but a false witness breathes out lies. - Lying lips are an abomination to the Lord,
but those who act faithfully are his delight.
