- God is our refuge and strength,
a very present help in trouble. - Even to your old age I am he,
even when you turn gray I will carry you.
I have made, and I will bear;
I will carry and will save. - Let us hold fast to the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who has promised is faithful.
- For the Lord loves justice;
he will not forsake his faithful ones.

but mere talk leads only to poverty. - When I thought, “My foot is slipping,”
your steadfast love, O Lord, held me up. - For the mountains may depart
and the hills be removed,
but my steadfast love shall not depart from you,
and my covenant of peace shall not be removed,
says the Lord, who has compassion on you. - The Lord loves those who hate evil;
he guards the lives of his faithful;
he rescues them from the hand of the wicked. - The Rock, his work is perfect,
and all his ways are just.
A faithful God, without deceit,
just and upright is he. - Therefore say to them, Thus says the Lord God: None of my words will be delayed any longer, but the word that I speak will be fulfilled, says the Lord God.
- Let your eyes look directly forward,
and your gaze be straight before you. - He will cover you with his pinions,
and under his wings you will find refuge;
his faithfulness is a shield and buckler. - Let your steadfast love, O Lord, be upon us,
even as we hope in you. - Do not, O Lord, withhold
your mercy from me;
let your steadfast love and your faithfulness
keep me safe forever. - Hear my prayer, O Lord;
give ear to my supplications in your faithfulness;
answer me in your righteousness. - The grass withers, the flower fades;
but the word of our God will stand forever.
