- God is our refuge and strength,
a very present help in trouble. - For the Lord loves justice;
he will not forsake his faithful ones.
The righteous shall be kept safe forever,
but the children of the wicked shall be cut off. - Even to your old age I am he,
even when you turn gray I will carry you.
I have made, and I will bear;
I will carry and will save. - Let us hold fast to the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who has promised is faithful.

he rescues them from the hand of the wicked. - When I thought, “My foot is slipping,”
your steadfast love, O Lord, held me up. - For your steadfast love is as high as the heavens;
your faithfulness extends to the clouds. - For the mountains may depart
and the hills be removed,
but my steadfast love shall not depart from you,
and my covenant of peace shall not be removed,
says the Lord, who has compassion on you. - The Rock, his work is perfect,
and all his ways are just.
A faithful God, without deceit,
just and upright is he. - Let your eyes look directly forward,
and your gaze be straight before you. - Therefore say to them, Thus says the Lord God: None of my words will be delayed any longer, but the word that I speak will be fulfilled, says the Lord God.
- He will cover you with his pinions,
and under his wings you will find refuge;
his faithfulness is a shield and buckler. - For who is God except the Lord?
And who is a rock besides our God? - Do not, O Lord, withhold
your mercy from me;
let your steadfast love and your faithfulness
keep me safe forever. - The grass withers, the flower fades;
but the word of our God will stand forever. - The Lord is just in all his ways,
and kind in all his doings.
