2 corinthians (2/4)

Therefore, since we have these promises, dear friends, let us purify ourselves from everything that contaminates body and spirit, perfecting holiness out of reverence for God.Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.
Do everything in love.Let all your things be done with charity.
And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit. But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.
But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
For Christ’s love compels us, because we are convinced that one died for all, and therefore all died. And he died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for him who died for them and was raised again. For the love of Christ constraineth us; because we thus judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead: And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again.
Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God.Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort; Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.
Do not be misled: “Bad company corrupts good character.”Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners.
For I resolved to know nothing while I was with you except Jesus Christ and him crucified. For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified.
No one should seek their own good, but the good of others.Let no man seek his own, but every man another's wealth.
Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be courageous; be strong.Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, quit you like men, be strong.
The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law.The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law.
For as in Adam all die, so in Christ all will be made alive. For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.
For we are co-workers in God’s service; you are God’s field, God’s building. For we are labourers together with God: ye are God's husbandry, ye are God's building.
But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.
These are the things God has revealed to us by his Spirit. The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God.But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.
And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love. And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.
But since sexual immorality is occurring, each man should have sexual relations with his own wife, and each woman with her own husband.Nevertheless, to avoid fornication, let every man have his own wife, and let every woman have her own husband.
Don’t you know that you yourselves are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit dwells in your midst?Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?
For since death came through a man, the resurrection of the dead comes also through a man.For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead.
God is faithful, who has called you into fellowship with his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord.
For who knows a person’s thoughts except their own spirit within them? In the same way no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God.For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.
However, as it is written: “What no eye has seen, what no ear has heard, and what no human mind has conceived”— the things God has prepared for those who love him.But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.
If anyone destroys God’s temple, God will destroy that person; for God’s temple is sacred, and you together are that temple. If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.
Just as a body, though one, has many parts, but all its many parts form one body, so it is with Christ. For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ.

Come back to your senses as you ought, and stop sinning; for there are some who are ignorant of God—I say this to your shame.Awake to righteousness, and sin not; for some have not the knowledge of God: I speak this to your shame.
