He coveteth greedily all the day long: but the righteous giveth and spareth not. | All day long the godless man continues to covet, whereas the righteous man gives unsparingly. |
Both riches and honour come of thee, and thou reignest over all; and in thine hand is power and might; and in thine hand it is to make great, and to give strength unto all. | Wealth and honor are from you, you reign over all. Honour the Lord with thy substance, and with the firstfruits of all thine increase. | Honor the Lord with your wealth and with the firstfruits of all your crops. |
Be of good courage, and he shall strengthen your heart, all ye that hope in the Lord. | Be strong and courageous in your hearts, all you who place your hope in the Lord. |
But take diligent heed to do the commandment and the law, which Moses the servant of the Lord charged you, to love the Lord your God, and to walk in all his ways, and to keep his commandments, and to cleave unto him, and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul. | Take heed to follow the commandments and the laws that Moses, the servant of the Lord, gave you: to love the Lord, your God, and to walk in his ways and to observe his commandments, holding fast to him and serving him with all your heart and all your soul. |
These ye shall eat of all that are in the waters: all that have fins and scales shall ye eat: And whatsoever hath not fins and scales ye may not eat; it is unclean unto you. | You can eat any water creature that has fins and scales; those you can eat. Whatever does not have fins or scales, you are not to eat. It is unclean for you. |
And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart. | When you search for me, you will find me. When you seek me with all your heart. |
