Also (4/4)

Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us.Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us.
For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.For who knows a person's thoughts except the spirit of that person, which is in him? So also no one comprehends the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God.
Through faith also Sara herself received strength to conceive seed, and was delivered of a child when she was past age, because she judged him faithful who had promised.By faith Sarah herself received power to conceive, even when she was past the age, since she considered him faithful who had promised.
The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God,) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ.Baptism, which corresponds to this, now saves you, not as a removal of dirt from the body but as an appeal to God for a good conscience, through the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
Nevertheless let every one of you in particular so love his wife even as himself; and the wife see that she reverence her husband. However, let each one of you love his wife as himself, and let the wife see that she respects her husband.
My lips shall greatly rejoice when I sing unto thee; and my soul, which thou hast redeemed. My lips will shout for joy, when I sing praises to you; my soul also, which you have redeemed.
Let the husband render unto the wife due benevolence: and likewise also the wife unto the husband. The wife hath not power of her own body, but the husband: and likewise also the husband hath not power of his own body, but the wife. The husband should give to his wife her conjugal rights, and likewise the wife to her husband. For the wife does not have authority over her own body, but the husband does. Likewise the husband does not have authority over his own body, but the wife does.
For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ. For just as the body is one and has many members, and all the members of the body, though many, are one body, so it is with Christ.
Likewise also the cup after supper, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood, which is shed for you.And likewise the cup after they had eaten, saying, “This cup that is poured out for you is the new covenant in my blood.”
Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.By this we know love, that he laid down his life for us, and we ought to lay down our lives for the brothers.
And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.And I tell you, you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.
And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life. And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us understanding, so that we may know him who is true; and we are in him who is true, in his Son Jesus Christ. He is the true God and eternal life.
For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive. For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ shall all be made alive.
Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.Consequently, he is able to save to the uttermost those who draw near to God through him, since he always lives to make intercession for them.
And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour. And walk in love, as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us, a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.
For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come. For while bodily training is of some value, godliness is of value in every way, as it holds promise for the present life and also for the life to come.
Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me.And I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?” Then I said, “Here I am! Send me.”
Jesus answered and said unto them, Verily I say unto you, If ye have faith, and doubt not, ye shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done. And Jesus answered them, “Truly, I say to you, if you have faith and do not doubt, you will not only do what has been done to the fig tree, but even if you say to this mountain, ‘Be taken up and thrown into the sea,’ it will happen.”
Every man also to whom God hath given riches and wealth, and hath given him power to eat thereof, and to take his portion, and to rejoice in his labour; this is the gift of God.Everyone also to whom God has given wealth and possessions and power to enjoy them, and to accept his lot and rejoice in his toil—this is the gift of God.
Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets. So whatever you wish that others would do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets.
And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.And if we know that he hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests that we have asked of him.
I know that there is no good in them, but for a man to rejoice, and to do good in his life. And also that every man should eat and drink, and enjoy the good of all his labour, it is the gift of God.I perceived that there is nothing better for them than to be joyful and to do good as long as they live; also that everyone should eat and drink and take pleasure in all his toil—this is God's gift to man.
Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth. Therefore God has highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth.
But now hath he obtained a more excellent ministry, by how much also he is the mediator of a better covenant, which was established upon better promises. But as it is, Christ has obtained a ministry that is as much more excellent than the old as the covenant he mediates is better, since it is enacted on better promises.
For in much wisdom is much grief: and he that increaseth knowledge increaseth sorrow. For in much wisdom is much vexation, and he who increases knowledge increases sorrow.
