| The world is passing away and also its lusts; but the one who does the will of God continues to live forever. | And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever. |
| One who loves money will not be satisfied with money, nor one who loves abundance with its income. This too is futility. | He that loveth silver shall not be satisfied with silver; nor he that loveth abundance with increase: this is also vanity. |
| And may the Lord cause you to increase and overflow in love for one another, and for all people, just as we also do for you. | And the Lord make you to increase and abound in love one toward another, and toward all men, even as we do toward you. |
