This also comes out from Yahweh of Armies, who is wonderful in counsel, and excellent in wisdom. | The Lord of Heaven’s Armies is a wonderful teacher, and he gives the farmer great wisdom. |
If you had known me, you would have known my Father also. From now on, you know him and have seen him. | If you had really known me, you would know who my Father is. From now on, you do know him and have seen him! |
Yahweh makes poor and makes rich. He brings low, he also lifts up. | The Lord makes some poor and others rich; he brings some down and lifts others up. |
So then the other disciple who came first to the tomb also entered in, and he saw and believed. For as the sufferings of Christ abound to us, even so our comfort also abounds through Christ. | For the more we suffer for Christ, the more God will shower us with his comfort through Christ. |
