- But whoever has worldly goods and sees his brother or sister in need, and closes his heart against him, how does the love of God remain in him?
- And He summoned the crowd together with His disciples, and said to them, “If anyone wants to come after Me, he must deny himself, take up his cross, and follow Me.”
- Is anyone among you sick? Then he must call for the elders of the church and they are to pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord; and the prayer of faith will restore the one who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up, and if he has committed sins, they will be forgiven him.

What will man do to me?” - And whoever speaks a word against the Son of Man, it shall be forgiven him; but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit, it shall not be forgiven him, either in this age or in the age to come.
- Therefore let’s make every effort to enter that rest, so that no one will fall by following the same example of disobedience.
- Now if a person sins and does any of the things which the Lord has commanded not to be done, though he was unaware, he is still guilty and shall bear his punishment.
- For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes in Him will not be put to shame.”
- One who turns his ear away from listening to the Law,
Even his prayer is an abomination. - But sanctify Christ as Lord in your hearts, always being ready to make a defense to everyone who asks you to give an account for the hope that is in you, but with gentleness and respect.
- You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain, for the Lord will not leave unpunished the one who takes His name in vain.
- A person has joy in an apt answer,
And how delightful is a timely word! - The Lord is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not willing for any to perish, but for all to come to repentance.
- Therefore, no one is to act as your judge in regard to food and drink, or in respect to a festival or a new moon, or a Sabbath day— things which are only a shadow of what is to come; but the substance belongs to Christ.
- Brothers and sisters, even if a person is caught in any wrongdoing, you who are spiritual are to restore such a person in a spirit of gentleness; each one looking to yourself, so that you are not tempted as well.
- Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God remains in him, and he in God.
- For one will hardly die for a righteous person; though perhaps for the good person someone would even dare to die. But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
- The one who has believed and has been baptized will be saved; but the one who has not believed will be condemned.
- Opening his mouth, Peter said:
“I most certainly understand now that God is not one to show partiality,
but in every nation the one who fears Him and does what is right is acceptable to Him.” - Whoever denies the Son does not have the Father; the one who confesses the Son has the Father also.
- You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall not commit adultery’; but I say to you that everyone who looks at a woman with lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart.
- The one who eats My flesh and drinks My blood remains in Me, and I in him.
