- To do what is right and just
is more acceptable to the Lord than sacrifice. - The Lord God made garments of skin for Adam and his wife and clothed them.
- The Lord loves righteousness and justice;
the earth is full of his unfailing love. - For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Live as children of light.
- Fear of man will prove to be a snare,
but whoever trusts in the Lord is kept safe. - The name of the Lord is a fortified tower;
the righteous run to it and are safe. - The Lord detests lying lips,
but he delights in people who are trustworthy. - Arise, shine, for your light has come,
and the glory of the Lord rises upon you. - This poor man called, and the Lord heard him;
he saved him out of all his troubles. - May the Lord direct your hearts into God’s love and Christ’s perseverance.
- The righteous person may have many troubles,
but the Lord delivers him from them all. - ‘Return to me,’ declares the Lord Almighty, ‘and I will return to you,’ says the Lord Almighty.
- I keep my eyes always on the Lord.
With him at my right hand, I will not be shaken. - Better a little with the fear of the Lord
than great wealth with turmoil. - For the Lord is our judge,
the Lord is our lawgiver,
the Lord is our king;
it is he who will save us. - Give praise to the Lord, proclaim his name;
make known among the nations what he has done. - Sing to the Lord, for he has done glorious things;
let this be known to all the world. - “For my thoughts are not your thoughts,
neither are your ways my ways,”
declares the Lord. - Make every effort to live in peace with everyone and to be holy; without holiness no one will see the Lord.
- So we say with confidence,
“The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid.
What can mere mortals do to me?” - The Lord is good,
a refuge in times of trouble.
He cares for those who trust in him. - Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord,
the people he chose for his inheritance. - Praise the Lord.
Blessed are those who fear the Lord,
who find great delight in his commands. - Some trust in chariots and some in horses,
but we trust in the name of the Lord our God. - The lions may grow weak and hungry,
but those who seek the Lord lack no good thing.
Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.Next verse!With image
