Therefore, my friends, I want you to know that through Jesus the forgiveness of sins is proclaimed to you. Through him everyone who believes is set free from every sin, a justification you were not able to obtain under the law of Moses. | Therefore let it be known to you, brothers, that through Him forgiveness of sins is proclaimed to you, and through Him everyone who believes is freed from all things, from which you could not be freed through the Law of Moses. |
“If you do not listen, and if you do not resolve to honor my name,” says the Lord Almighty, “I will send a curse on you, and I will curse your blessings. Yes, I have already cursed them, because you have not resolved to honor me.” | “If you do not listen, and if you do not take it to heart to give honor to My name,” says the Lord of armies, “then I will send the curse upon you and I will curse your blessings; and indeed, I have cursed them already, because you are not taking it to heart.” |

But after he had considered this, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said, “Joseph son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary home as your wife, because what is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit.” | But when he had thought this over, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, “Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary as your wife; for the Child who has been conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit.” |
Let us, therefore, make every effort to enter that rest, so that no one will perish by following their example of disobedience. | Therefore let’s make every effort to enter that rest, so that no one will fall by following the same example of disobedience. |
Now, brothers and sisters, I want to remind you of the gospel I preached to you, which you received and on which you have taken your stand. By this gospel you are saved, if you hold firmly to the word I preached to you. Otherwise, you have believed in vain. | Now I make known to you, brothers and sisters, the gospel which I preached to you, which you also received, in which you also stand, by which you also are saved, if you hold firmly to the word which I preached to you, unless you believed in vain. |
And when you pray, do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words. | And when you are praying, do not use thoughtless repetition as the Gentiles do, for they think that they will be heard because of their many words. |
We who are Jews by birth and not sinful Gentiles know that a person is not justified by the works of the law, but by faith in Jesus Christ. So we, too, have put our faith in Christ Jesus that we may be justified by faith in Christ and not by the works of the law, because by the works of the law no one will be justified. | We are Jews by nature and not sinners from the Gentiles; nevertheless, knowing that a person is not justified by works of the Law but through faith in Christ Jesus, even we have believed in Christ Jesus, so that we may be justified by faith in Christ and not by works of the Law; since by works of the Law no flesh will be justified. |
To the Jews who had believed him, Jesus said, “If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” | So Jesus was saying to those Jews who had believed Him, “If you continue in My word, then you are truly My disciples; and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” |
So again I ask, does God give you his Spirit and work miracles among you by the works of the law, or by your believing what you heard? | So then, does He who provides you with the Spirit and works miracles among you, do it by works of the Law, or by hearing with faith? |
Then I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and on the sea, and all that is in them, saying: “To him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb be praise and honor and glory and power, for ever and ever!” | And I heard every created thing which is in heaven, or on the earth, or under the earth, or on the sea, and all the things in them, saying, “To Him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb be the blessing, the honor, the glory, and the dominion forever and ever.” |
Turn from evil and do good; seek peace and pursue it. | Turn from evil and do good; Seek peace and pursue it. |
Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. | Then you will call upon Me and come and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. |
Humility is the fear of the Lord; its wages are riches and honor and life. | The reward of humility and the fear of the Lord Are riches, honor, and life. |
To our God and Father be glory for ever and ever. Amen. | Now to our God and Father be the glory forever and ever. Amen. |
“I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, “who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty.” | “I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, “who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.” |
You call me ‘Teacher’ and ‘Lord,’ and rightly so, for that is what I am. | You call Me ‘Teacher’ and ‘Lord’; and you are correct, for so I am. |
Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know. | Call to Me and I will answer you, and I will tell you great and mighty things, which you do not know. |
About midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the other prisoners were listening to them. | Now about midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns of praise to God, and the prisoners were listening to them. |
Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me, and I in them. | The one who eats My flesh and drinks My blood remains in Me, and I in him. |
We have sinned and done wrong. We have been wicked and have rebelled; we have turned away from your commands and laws. | We have sinned, we have done wrong, and acted wickedly and rebelled, even turning aside from Your commandments and ordinances. |
The Lord God made garments of skin for Adam and his wife and clothed them. | And the Lord God made garments of skin for Adam and his wife, and clothed them. |
When he comes, he will prove the world to be in the wrong about sin and righteousness and judgment. | And He, when He comes, will convict the world regarding sin, and righteousness, and judgment. |
Grace and peace to you from God our Father and from the Lord Jesus Christ. | Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. |
Wealth and honor come from you; you are the ruler of all things. In your hands are strength and power to exalt and give strength to all. | Both riches and honor come from You, and You rule over all, and in Your hand is power and might; and it lies in Your hand to make great and to strengthen everyone. |
God blessed them and said to them, “Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky and over every living creature that moves on the ground.” | God blessed them; and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth, and subdue it; and rule over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the sky and over every living thing that moves on the earth.” |
