| So then, while we have opportunity, let’s do good to all people, and especially to those who are of the household of the faith. | Therefore, whenever we have the opportunity, we should do good to everyone—especially to those in the family of faith. |
| For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes in Him will not be put to shame.” | As the Scriptures tell us, “Anyone who trusts in him will never be disgraced.” |

| Conduct yourselves with wisdom toward outsiders, making the most of the opportunity. Your speech must always be with grace, as though seasoned with salt, so that you will know how you should respond to each person. | Live wisely among those who are not believers, and make the most of every opportunity. Let your conversation be gracious and attractive so that you will have the right response for everyone. |
| For with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation. | For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by openly declaring your faith that you are saved. |
