  • Flee from sexual immorality. Every other sin a person commits is outside the body, but the sexually immoral person sins against his own body.
  • Do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat, nor about your body, what you will put on. For life is more than food, and the body more than clothing.
  • For as in one body we have many members, and the members do not all have the same function, so we, though many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another.
  • There is one body and one Spirit—just as you were called to the one hope that belongs to your call.
  • Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink, nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing?
  • Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body.
  • And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body. And be thankful.
  • The husband should give to his wife her conjugal rights, and likewise the wife to her husband. For the wife does not have authority over her own body, but the husband does. Likewise the husband does not have authority over his own body, but the wife does.
  • If I give away all I have, and if I deliver up my body to be burned, but have not love, I gain nothing.
  • But I discipline my body and keep it under control, lest after preaching to others I myself should be disqualified.

    they go down into the inner parts of the body.
  • Gracious words are like a honeycomb,
    sweetness to the soul and health to the body.

  • Be not wise in your own eyes;
    fear the Lord, and turn away from evil.
    It will be healing to your flesh
    and refreshment to your bones.
  • For when I kept silent, my bones wasted away
    through my groaning all day long.
  • Baptism, which corresponds to this, now saves you, not as a removal of dirt from the body but as an appeal to God for a good conscience, through the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
