Those who are in the realm of the flesh cannot please God.Those who live according to the flesh can never be pleasing to God.
He replied, “Because you have so little faith. Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.”He answered, “Because you have such little faith. Amen, I say to you, if you have faith as tiny as a mustard seed, you will be able to say to this mountain: ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.”
Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God.Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercy and the God of all consolation. He consoles us in all our afflictions and thereby enables us to console others in their tribulations, offering them the consolation with which we ourselves are consoled by God.

So that I may come to you with joy, by God’s will, and in your company be refreshed.In that way, I can come to you in joy, if God so wills, and be refreshed together with you.
Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword?Who then can separate us from the love of Christ? Will hardship, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or the sword?

This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us.And thus we can have confidence in him that if we ask anything that is in accordance with his will, he hears us.
For with much wisdom comes much sorrow; the more knowledge, the more grief.For much wisdom can result in much sorrow, and those who increase their knowledge also increase their grief.
Therefore, since we have these promises, dear friends, let us purify ourselves from everything that contaminates body and spirit, perfecting holiness out of reverence for God.Since we have these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from anything that can defile flesh or spirit, and thereby make our holiness perfect in the fear of God.
This is how we know that we live in him and he in us: He has given us of his Spirit.This is how we can be certain that we abide in him and that he abides in us: he has given us a share in his Spirit.
Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.There is no salvation in anyone else, nor is there any other name under heaven given to men by which we can be saved.
If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone.As much as possible, and to the extent of your ability, live in peace with everyone.

Dear friends, if our hearts do not condemn us, we have confidence before God and receive from him anything we ask, because we keep his commands and do what pleases him.Beloved, if our hearts do not condemn us, we can approach God with confidence and receive from him whatever we ask, because we obey his commandments and do whatever is pleasing to him.

He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things?He did not spare his own Son but gave him up for all of us. How then can he fail also to give us everything else along with him?
