Chinese (traditional)- Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due,
when it is in your power to act. - So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.
- Truly he is my rock and my salvation;
he is my fortress, I will not be shaken. - Great is the Lord and most worthy of praise;
his greatness no one can fathom. - He is the Rock, his works are perfect,
and all his ways are just.
A faithful God who does no wrong,
upright and just is he. - Every word of God is flawless;
he is a shield to those who take refuge in him. - It is to one’s honor to avoid strife,
but every fool is quick to quarrel. - The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom,
and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding. - In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.
- There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.
- How much more valuable is a person than a sheep! Therefore it is lawful to do good on the Sabbath.
- The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no commandment greater than these.
- Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful.
- Who is going to harm you if you are eager to do good?
- Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.
- Truly he is my rock and my salvation;
he is my fortress, I will never be shaken. - All my longings lie open before you, Lord;
my sighing is not hidden from you. - To do what is right and just
is more acceptable to the Lord than sacrifice. - “I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, “who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty.”
- Where there is strife, there is pride,
but wisdom is found in those who take advice. - For in the gospel the righteousness of God is revealed—a righteousness that is by faith from first to last, just as it is written: “The righteous will live by faith.”
- The mind governed by the flesh is death, but the mind governed by the Spirit is life and peace.
- There is only one Lawgiver and Judge, the one who is able to save and destroy. But you—who are you to judge your neighbor?
- A good name is more desirable than great riches;
to be esteemed is better than silver or gold. - But I tell you, do not swear an oath at all: either by heaven, for it is God’s throne; or by the earth, for it is his footstool; or by Jerusalem, for it is the city of the Great King.
All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had said through the prophet: “The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel” (which means “God with us”). May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.Next verse!With image
