Bible Verses about 'Counsel'

Without counsel, plans go awry, But in the multitude of counselors they are established.Plans miscarry when counsel is lacking, but they succeed when there are many counselors.
This also comes from the Lord of hosts, Who is wonderful in counsel and excellent in guidance. All this knowledge comes from the Lord of hosts whose counsel is wonderful and whose wisdom is great.
There are many plans in a man’s heart, Nevertheless the Lord’s counsel—that will stand. Many are the plans in a human mind, but it is the purpose of the Lord that will prevail.
Blessed is the man Who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, Nor stands in the path of sinners, Nor sits in the seat of the scornful.Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked, nor stand in the way of sinners, nor sit in the company of scoffers.
I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will guide you with My eye.I will instruct you and guide you in the way you should go; I will counsel you and keep my eyes upon you.
Deceit is in the heart of those who devise evil, But counselors of peace have joy.Deceit is in the heart of those who plot evil, but those who counsel peace have joy.
May He grant you according to your heart’s desire, And fulfill all your purpose.May he give you your heart’s desire and grant you success in all your plans.
Do not envy the oppressor, And choose none of his ways; For the perverse person is an abomination to the Lord, But His secret counsel is with the upright.Do not envy a violent man or choose to emulate any of his ways. For the perverse man is an abomination to the Lord whose friendship is bestowed only upon the upright.
For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. For a child has been born to us, a son has been given to us. Upon his shoulders dominion rests, and this is the name he has been given: Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace.
Turn at my rebuke; Surely I will pour out my spirit on you; I will make my words known to you.If you would seriously consider my reproof, I would pour out my thoughts to you and make my precepts known to you.
O Lord, You are my God. I will exalt You, I will praise Your name, For You have done wonderful things; Your counsels of old are faithfulness and truth.O Lord, you are my God. I will exalt you and praise your name, for you have accomplished wonderful things, formulated in ages past, faithful and sure.
Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.Let the word of Christ with all its richness dwell in you. Teach and admonish one another in all wisdom, singing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs to God with gratitude in your hearts.
And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever. And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Advocate to be with you forever.
But when the Helper comes, whom I shall send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth who proceeds from the Father, He will testify of Me.When the Advocate comes whom I will send you from the Father, the Spirit of truth who comes from the Father, he will testify on my behalf.
But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you. However, the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you everything and remind you of all that I have said to you.
Nevertheless I tell you the truth. It is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you; but if I depart, I will send Him to you.Nevertheless, I am telling you the truth: it is better for you that I depart. For if I do not go away, the Advocate will not come to you, whereas if I go, I will send him to you.
