- Without counsel purposes are disappointed:
but in the multitude of counsellors they are established. - This also cometh forth from the Lord of hosts,
which is wonderful in counsel,
and excellent in working. - Grant thee according to thine own heart,
and fulfil all thy counsel. - There are many devices in a man's heart;
nevertheless the counsel of the Lord, that shall stand. - Blessed is the man
that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly,
nor standeth in the way of sinners,
nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. - I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go:
I will guide thee with mine eye. - Deceit is in the heart of them that imagine evil:
but to the counsellors of peace is joy. - For unto us a child is born,
unto us a son is given:
and the government shall be upon his shoulder:
and his name shall be called
Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God,
The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. - Turn you at my reproof:
behold, I will pour out my spirit unto you,
I will make known my words unto you. - O Lord, thou art my God;
I will exalt thee, I will praise thy name;
for thou hast done wonderful things;
thy counsels of old
are faithfulness and truth. - Envy thou not the oppressor,
and choose none of his ways.
For the froward is abomination to the Lord:
but his secret is with the righteous. - Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.
- And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever.
- But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me.
- But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
- Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you.
The Lord our God be with us, as he was with our fathers: let him not leave us, nor forsake us. And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.Next verse!With image
