- Without counsel purposes are disappointed:
but in the multitude of counsellors they are established. - This also cometh forth from the Lord of hosts,
which is wonderful in counsel,
and excellent in working. - Blessed is the man
that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly,
nor standeth in the way of sinners,
nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. - Grant thee according to thine own heart,
and fulfil all thy counsel. - There are many devices in a man's heart;
nevertheless the counsel of the Lord, that shall stand. - I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go:
I will guide thee with mine eye. - Deceit is in the heart of them that imagine evil:
but to the counsellors of peace is joy. - For unto us a child is born,
unto us a son is given:
and the government shall be upon his shoulder:
and his name shall be called
Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God,
The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. - Turn you at my reproof:
behold, I will pour out my spirit unto you,
I will make known my words unto you. - Only by pride cometh contention:
but with the well advised is wisdom. - O Lord, thou art my God;
I will exalt thee, I will praise thy name;
for thou hast done wonderful things;
thy counsels of old
are faithfulness and truth. - Envy thou not the oppressor,
and choose none of his ways.
For the froward is abomination to the Lord:
but his secret is with the righteous. - Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.
- And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever.
- But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me.
- But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
- Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you.
As in water face answereth to face,
so the heart of man to man. Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.Next verse!With image
