- Without counsel, plans go awry,
But in the multitude of counselors they are established. - This also comes from the Lord of hosts,
Who is wonderful in counsel and excellent in guidance. - There are many plans in a man’s heart,
Nevertheless the Lord’s counsel—that will stand. - Blessed is the man
Who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly,
Nor stands in the path of sinners,
Nor sits in the seat of the scornful. - I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go;
I will guide you with My eye. - Deceit is in the heart of those who devise evil,
But counselors of peace have joy. - May He grant you according to your heart’s desire,
And fulfill all your purpose. - Do not envy the oppressor,
And choose none of his ways;
For the perverse person is an abomination to the Lord,
But His secret counsel is with the upright. - For unto us a Child is born,
Unto us a Son is given;
And the government will be upon His shoulder.
And His name will be called
Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. - Turn at my rebuke;
Surely I will pour out my spirit on you;
I will make my words known to you. - O Lord, You are my God.
I will exalt You,
I will praise Your name,
For You have done wonderful things;
Your counsels of old are faithfulness and truth. - Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.
- And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever.
- But when the Helper comes, whom I shall send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth who proceeds from the Father, He will testify of Me.
- But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.
- Nevertheless I tell you the truth. It is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you; but if I depart, I will send Him to you.
May the Lord our God be with us, as He was with our fathers. May He not leave us nor forsake us. Though the fig tree may not blossom,
Nor fruit be on the vines;
Though the labor of the olive may fail,
And the fields yield no food;
Though the flock may be cut off from the fold,
And there be no herd in the stalls—
Yet I will rejoice in the Lord,
I will joy in the God of my salvation.Next verse!With image
