but right living can save your life. - I want to know Christ and experience the mighty power that raised him from the dead. I want to suffer with him, sharing in his death.
- I don’t want you to die, says the Sovereign Lord. Turn back and live!
- For the kind of sorrow God wants us to experience leads us away from sin and results in salvation. There’s no regret for that kind of sorrow. But worldly sorrow, which lacks repentance, results in spiritual death.

he did not think of equality with God
as something to cling to.

When he appeared in human form,
he humbled himself in obedience to God
and died a criminal’s death on a cross. - Place me like a seal over your heart,
like a seal on your arm.

snatching them from the door of death. - And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love.
