Chinese (traditional)Bible Verses about 'Discipline'
- Whoever loves instruction loves knowledge,
But he who hates correction is stupid. - As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten. Therefore be zealous and repent.
- Behold, happy is the man whom God corrects;
Therefore do not despise the chastening of the Almighty. - But I discipline my body and bring it into subjection, lest, when I have preached to others, I myself should become disqualified.
- And you, fathers, do not provoke your children to wrath, but bring them up in the training and admonition of the Lord.
- My son, do not despise the chastening of the Lord,
Nor detest His correction;
For whom the Lord loves He corrects,
Just as a father the son in whom he delights. - Now no chastening seems to be joyful for the present, but painful; nevertheless, afterward it yields the peaceable fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it.
- For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.
- You should know in your heart that as a man chastens his son, so the Lord your God chastens you.
- A fool despises his father’s instruction,
But he who receives correction is prudent. - He who keeps instruction is in the way of life,
But he who refuses correction goes astray. - But the end of all things is at hand; therefore be serious and watchful in your prayers.
- The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge,
But fools despise wisdom and instruction. - And everyone who competes for the prize is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a perishable crown, but we for an imperishable crown.
- Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.
- Therefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and rest your hope fully upon the grace that is to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ.
A fool despises his father’s instruction,
But he who receives correction is prudent.
