And Jesus answered them, “Truly, I say to you, if you have faith and do not doubt, you will not only do what has been done to the fig tree, but even if you say to this mountain, ‘Be taken up and thrown into the sea,’ it will happen.”Then Jesus told them, “I tell you the truth, if you have faith and don’t doubt, you can do things like this and much more. You can even say to this mountain, ‘May you be lifted up and thrown into the sea,’ and it will happen.”
Beloved, if our heart does not condemn us, we have confidence before God; and whatever we ask we receive from him, because we keep his commandments and do what pleases him.Dear friends, if we don’t feel guilty, we can come to God with bold confidence. And we will receive from him whatever we ask because we obey him and do the things that please him.

And he took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it and gave it to them, saying, “This is my body, which is given for you. Do this in remembrance of me.”He took some bread and gave thanks to God for it. Then he broke it in pieces and gave it to the disciples, saying, “This is my body, which is given for you. Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ.Work willingly at whatever you do, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people. Remember that the Lord will give you an inheritance as your reward, and that the Master you are serving is Christ.
Do not be deceived: God is not mocked, for whatever one sows, that will he also reap.Don’t be misled—you cannot mock the justice of God. You will always harvest what you plant.
For the customs of the peoples are vanity. A tree from the forest is cut down and worked with an axe by the hands of a craftsman. They decorate it with silver and gold; they fasten it with hammer and nails so that it cannot move. Their idols are like scarecrows in a cucumber field, and they cannot speak; they have to be carried, for they cannot walk. Do not be afraid of them, for they cannot do evil, neither is it in them to do good.Their ways are futile and foolish. They cut down a tree, and a craftsman carves an idol. They decorate it with gold and silver and then fasten it securely with hammer and nails so it won’t fall over. Their gods are like helpless scarecrows in a cucumber field! They cannot speak, and they need to be carried because they cannot walk. Do not be afraid of such gods, for they can neither harm you nor do you any good.
Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid.
In you, O Lord, do I take refuge; let me never be put to shame; in your righteousness deliver me!O Lord, I have come to you for protection; don’t let me be disgraced. Save me, for you do what is right.
Arise, O Lord; O God, lift up your hand; forget not the afflicted.Arise, O Lord! Punish the wicked, O God! Do not ignore the helpless!
And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. And do not bring sorrow to God’s Holy Spirit by the way you live. Remember, he has identified you as his own, guaranteeing that you will be saved on the day of redemption.
Live in harmony with one another. Do not be haughty, but associate with the lowly. Never be wise in your own sight.Live in harmony with each other. Don’t be too proud to enjoy the company of ordinary people. And don’t think you know it all!
If you had known me, you would have known my Father also. From now on you do know him and have seen him.If you had really known me, you would know who my Father is. From now on, you do know him and have seen him!
Behold, blessed is the one whom God reproves; therefore despise not the discipline of the Almighty. But consider the joy of those corrected by God! Do not despise the discipline of the Almighty when you sin.
It is the Lord who goes before you. He will be with you; he will not leave you or forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed.Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord will personally go ahead of you. He will be with you; he will neither fail you nor abandon you.
Do you think that I cannot appeal to my Father, and he will at once send me more than twelve legions of angels?Don’t you realize that I could ask my Father for thousands of angels to protect us, and he would send them instantly?
Judge not, and you will not be judged; condemn not, and you will not be condemned; forgive, and you will be forgiven.Do not judge others, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn others, or it will all come back against you. Forgive others, and you will be forgiven.
Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal, but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal.Don’t store up treasures here on earth, where moths eat them and rust destroys them, and where thieves break in and steal. Store your treasures in heaven, where moths and rust cannot destroy, and thieves do not break in and steal.
Do not be slothful in zeal, be fervent in spirit, serve the Lord.Never be lazy, but work hard and serve the Lord enthusiastically.
But I say to you, Do not take an oath at all, either by heaven, for it is the throne of God, or by the earth, for it is his footstool, or by Jerusalem, for it is the city of the great King. But I say, do not make any vows! Do not say, ‘By heaven!’ because heaven is God’s throne. And do not say, ‘By the earth!’ because the earth is his footstool. And do not say, ‘By Jerusalem!’ for Jerusalem is the city of the great King.
Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord.Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger by the way you treat them. Rather, bring them up with the discipline and instruction that comes from the Lord.
Now who is there to harm you if you are zealous for what is good? Now, who will want to harm you if you are eager to do good?

Do not forsake your friend and your father's friend, and do not go to your brother's house in the day of your calamity. Better is a neighbor who is near than a brother who is far away.Never abandon a friend— either yours or your father’s. When disaster strikes, you won’t have to ask your brother for assistance.
