You lust and do not have. You murder and covet and cannot obtain. You fight and war. Yet you do not have because you do not ask. | Ye lust, and have not: ye kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain: ye fight and war, yet ye have not, because ye ask not. |
And why do you look at the speck in your brother’s eye, but do not consider the plank in your own eye? | And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye? |
And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. | And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. |
Therefore, when you do a charitable deed, do not sound a trumpet before you as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory from men. In God (I will praise His word), In God I have put my trust; I will not fear. What can flesh do to me? | In God I will praise his word, in God I have put my trust; I will not fear what flesh can do unto me. |
For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. | For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh. |
Teach me to do Your will, For You are my God; Your Spirit is good. Lead me in the land of uprightness. | Teach me to do thy will; for thou art my God: thy spirit is good; lead me into the land of uprightness. |
Learn to do good; Seek justice, Rebuke the oppressor; Defend the fatherless, Plead for the widow. | Learn to do well; seek judgment, relieve the oppressed, judge the fatherless, plead for the widow. |
