Bible Verses about 'Else'

  • There is no salvation in anyone else, nor is there any other name under heaven given to men by which we can be saved.
  • He did not spare his own Son but gave him up for all of us. How then can he fail also to give us everything else along with him?
  • Whom do I have in heaven except you?
And besides you there is nothing else I desire on earth.
  • May the Lord cause your love to increase and overflow for one another and for everyone else, just as our love does for you.
  • Guard your heart with all possible vigilance,
for from it flow the wellsprings of life.
  • The beginning of wisdom is: acquire wisdom,
and no matter what the cost, acquire understanding.
  • No one can serve two masters. For you will either hate the one and love the other or be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.
  • Recognizing that laws are not designed for the upright. They are for the lawless and insubordinate, for the godless and sinful, for the unholy and irreligious; they are for those who slay their fathers and mothers, for murderers, for those who are fornicators, sodomites, slave traders, liars, perjurers, and for whatever else is contrary to the sound teaching that conforms to the glorious gospel of the blessed God, which has been entrusted to me.
  • Give proper consideration to those widows who are truly in need.
  • So today acknowledge it and take it to heart that the Lord is God in the heavens above and on the earth below. There is no other.
  • Above all, my brethren, do not swear, either by heaven or by earth, or use any oaths at all. Let your “Yes” mean “Yes” and your “No” mean “No.” Otherwise you may be condemned.
  • For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor present things, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.
  • Rather, seek the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.
  • I give them eternal life,
    and they will never perish.
No one will ever snatch them from my hand.
My Father who has given them to me
    is greater than all,
and no one can snatch them
    out of the Father’s hand.
I and the Father are one.
  • Make sure that no one pays back evil for evil. Rather, always aim to achieve what is best for each other and for everyone.
  • While experiencing temptation, no one should say, “God is tempting me.” For God cannot be tempted by evil, and he himself tempts no one.
  • Then he sat down, summoned the Twelve, and said to them, “If anyone wishes to be first, he must become the last of all and the servant of all.”
  • You shall not covet your neighbor’s house. You shall not covet your neighbor’s wife, nor his male slave, nor his female slave, nor his oxen, nor his donkey, nor anything that belongs to your neighbor.
  • It is better to spend one day in your courts
    than a thousand elsewhere.
I would rather be a doorkeeper in God’s house
than dwell inside the tents of the wicked.
  • Therefore, you have no excuse, whoever you may be, when you pass judgment on others. For in judging others you condemn yourself, since you are doing the same things.
  • The heart is more deceitful than any other thing,
    and it is also perverse.
    Who can uncover its secrets?
I, the Lord, search the heart
    and probe the mind
to reward all according to their conduct
    and as their deeds deserve.
