Ephesians 1:7 (2/2)

Be careful then how you live, not as unwise people but as wise, making the most of the time, because the days are evil.So be careful how you live. Don’t live like fools, but like those who are wise. Make the most of every opportunity in these evil days.
Wives, be subject to your husbands as you are to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife just as Christ is the head of the church, the body of which he is the Savior. For wives, this means submit to your husbands as to the Lord. For a husband is the head of his wife as Christ is the head of the church. He is the Savior of his body, the church.
Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her, in order to make her holy by cleansing her with the washing of water by the word. For husbands, this means love your wives, just as Christ loved the church. He gave up his life for her to make her holy and clean, washed by the cleansing of God’s word.
In the same way, husbands should love their wives as they do their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself. In the same way, husbands ought to love their wives as they love their own bodies. For a man who loves his wife actually shows love for himself.
For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two will become one flesh. As the Scriptures say, “A man leaves his father and mother and is joined to his wife, and the two are united into one.”
Each of you, however, should love his wife as himself, and a wife should respect her husband. So again I say, each man must love his wife as he loves himself, and the wife must respect her husband.
And, fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord.Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger by the way you treat them. Rather, bring them up with the discipline and instruction that comes from the Lord.
Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his power.A final word: Be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power.
Put on the whole armor of God, so that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.Put on all of God’s armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies of the devil.
For our struggle is not against enemies of blood and flesh, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers of this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places.
Therefore take up the whole armor of God, so that you may be able to withstand on that evil day, and having done everything, to stand firm. Therefore, put on every piece of God’s armor so you will be able to resist the enemy in the time of evil. Then after the battle you will still be standing firm.
Stand therefore, and fasten the belt of truth around your waist, and put on the breastplate of righteousness. As shoes for your feet put on whatever will make you ready to proclaim the gospel of peace. With all of these, take the shield of faith, with which you will be able to quench all the flaming arrows of the evil one.Stand your ground, putting on the belt of truth and the body armor of God’s righteousness. For shoes, put on the peace that comes from the Good News so that you will be fully prepared. In addition to all of these, hold up the shield of faith to stop the fiery arrows of the devil.
Take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.Put on salvation as your helmet, and take the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
Pray in the Spirit at all times in every prayer and supplication. To that end keep alert and always persevere in supplication for all the saints.Pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion. Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all believers everywhere.
