- God is our refuge and our strength,
a well-proved help in times of trouble. - In you, O Lord, I have taken refuge;
let me never be put to shame;
in your righteousness deliver me. - O Lord, do not withhold your mercy from me;
may your kindness and your truth keep me safe forever. - Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.
- Therefore, by a single offering he has made perfect forever those who are being sanctified.
- But you, O Lord, reign forever;
your throne endures from age to age. - God is not human, that he should lie,
or the son of man, that he should change his mind.
Does he speak and then not act,
does he promise and then not fulfill it? - Do not succumb to the love of money, but be content with what you have, for God has said, “I will never forsake you or abandon you.”
- Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good;
his mercy endures forever. - The grass may wither and the flower may fade,
but the word of our God will endure forever. - And as we gaze upon the glory of the Lord with unveiled faces, all of us are being transformed into that same image from glory to glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.
- He will never be swayed;
the righteous man will be remembered forever. - Even should my heart and my flesh fail,
God is the rock of my heart
and my portion forever. - I do not say this because I have been in need, for I have learned to be content with whatever I have.
- Your statutes are my everlasting heritage;
they are the very joy of my heart. - Every word you utter is true,
and all your righteous judgments are everlasting. - And the world with all its enticements
is passing away,
but whoever does the will of God
abides forever. - What then can we say in response to all this? If God is for us, who can be against us?
- And I will ask the Father,
and he will give you another Advocate
to be with you forever. - Can a woman forget the infant at her breast;
or feel no compassion for the child of her womb?
Even should she forget,
I will never forget you.
Behold, I have inscribed your name
on the palms of my hands;
your walls are continually before my eyes. - You have been born anew, not of perishable but of imperishable seed, through the living and enduring word of God.
- For no one can be regarded as justified in the sight of God by keeping the Law. The Law brings only the consciousness of sin.
- Rather, grow in the grace and the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
To him be glory both now and for all eternity. Amen. - The Lord will fulfill his plan for me.
Your kindness, O Lord, endures forever;
do not forsake the work of your hands. - And do not lead us into temptation,
but deliver us from the evil one.
