So the Lord commanded us to follow all these statutes, to fear the Lord our God for our own good always and for our survival, as it is today. | Yahweh commanded us to do all these statutes, to fear Yahweh our God, for our good always, that he might preserve us alive, as we are today. |
For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake, this is the one who will save it. | For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever will lose his life for my sake will save it. |
And may the Lord cause you to increase and overflow in love for one another, and for all people, just as we also do for you. | May the Lord make you to increase and abound in love toward one another and toward all men, even as we also do toward you. |
Just as you do not know the path of the wind, and how bones are formed in the womb of the pregnant woman, so you do not know the activity of God who makes everything. | As you don’t know what is the way of the wind, nor how the bones grow in the womb of her who is with child; even so you don’t know the work of God who does all. |
