- Both riches and honor come from You, and You rule over all, and in Your hand is power and might; and it lies in Your hand to make great and to strengthen everyone.

They decorate the idol with silver and gold;
They fasten it with nails and hammers
So that it will not totter.
They are like a scarecrow in a cucumber field,
And they cannot speak;
They must be carried,
Because they cannot walk!
Do not fear them,
For they can do no harm,
Nor can they do any good. - Then the Lord God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone; I will make him a helper suitable for him.”
- But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
- Consequently, there remains a Sabbath rest for the people of God. For the one who has entered His rest has himself also rested from his works, as God did from His.
- Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us, to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations forever and ever. Amen.
- These things I have spoken to you so that My joy may be in you, and that your joy may be made full.
- For the word of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.
- Now all these things are from God, who reconciled us to Himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation.

Rescue me from the hand of my enemies and from those who persecute me. - For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written: “But the righteous one will live by faith.”
- Sing to God, sing praises to His name;
Exalt Him who rides through the deserts,
Whose name is the Lord, and be jubilant before Him.
A father of the fatherless and a judge for the widows,
Is God in His holy dwelling. - And if you do good to those who do good to you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners do the same.
- Let the peace of Christ, to which you were indeed called in one body, rule in your hearts; and be thankful.
- Why do you look at the speck that is in your brother’s eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye?
- Deceit is in the heart of those who devise evil,
But counselors of peace have joy. - And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for the one who comes to God must believe that He exists, and that He proves to be One who rewards those who seek Him.
- In You, Lord, I have taken refuge;
Let me never be put to shame;
In Your righteousness rescue me. - How much more will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without blemish to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?
- Looking at them, Jesus said, “With people it is impossible, but not with God; for all things are possible with God.”
- But if it is disagreeable in your sight to serve the Lord, choose for yourselves today whom you will serve: whether the gods which your fathers served, which were beyond the Euphrates River, or the gods of the Amorites in whose land you are living; but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.
- In God, whose word I praise,
In God I have put my trust;
I shall not be afraid.
What can mere mortals do to me? - Let Your favor, Lord, be upon us,
Just as we have waited for You.
