- O Lord, let your kindness rest upon us,
for we have placed our hope in you. - You are my refuge and my shield;
I put my hope in your word. - You shall keep these things that I command you today in your heart. Teach them to your children. You shall talk of them when you are sitting in your home, and when you are walking along the way, and when you lie down and when you rise up.
- And the Lord God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I wish to make another creature who will be like him.”
- So today acknowledge it and take it to heart that the Lord is God in the heavens above and on the earth below. There is no other.
- Do not assert that the past was better than the present,
for such a statement is not a sign of wisdom. - Those who revere your name place their trust in you,
for you never abandon those who seek you, O Lord. - I will rejoice and exult in you;

Do not fear; I will help you. - I have told you these things

and your joy may be complete. - It is rash to pledge a sacred gift,
or to make a vow and then have second thoughts. - It is honorable to avoid strife,
but every fool is quarrelsome. - In it the righteousness of God is revealed, beginning in faith and established in faith. As it is written: “The one who is righteous will live through faith.”
- All this has been done by God, who has reconciled us to himself through Christ and entrusted us with the ministry of reconciliation.
- My life is in your hands;
deliver me from the power of my enemies,
from the clutches of those who pursue me. - Now the works of the flesh are obvious: fornication, impurity, licentiousness, idolatry, sorcery, enmities, strife, jealousy, anger, quarrels, dissensions, factions, envy, drunkenness, carousing, and the like. I warn you, as I warned you previously, that no one who does such things will inherit the kingdom of God.
- In God, whose word I praise,
in God I place my trust and know no fear;
what can people do to me? - And let the peace of Christ reign in your hearts, because it was for this that you were called together in one body. Always be thankful.
- Deceit is in the heart of those who plot evil,
but those who counsel peace have joy. - There is only one Lawgiver and Judge, the one who is able to save or to destroy. Who then are you to pass judgment on a neighbor?
