In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father. | No one after lighting a lamp puts it under the bushel basket, but on the lampstand, and it gives light to all in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father in heaven. |
| May God, who gives this patience and encouragement, help you live in complete harmony with each other, as is fitting for followers of Christ Jesus. | May the God of steadfastness and encouragement grant you to live in harmony with one another, in accordance with Christ Jesus. |

| He is the Rock; his deeds are perfect. Everything he does is just and fair. He is a faithful God who does no wrong; how just and upright he is! | The Rock, his work is perfect, and all his ways are just. A faithful God, without deceit, just and upright is he. |

| In the blink of an eye wealth disappears, for it will sprout wings and fly away like an eagle. | When your eyes light upon it, it is gone; for suddenly it takes wings to itself, flying like an eagle toward heaven. |
| For God is Spirit, so those who worship him must worship in spirit and in truth. | God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth. |
| Always be joyful. Never stop praying. Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus. | Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. |
| If you cling to your life, you will lose it; but if you give up your life for me, you will find it. | Those who find their life will lose it, and those who lose their life for my sake will find it. |
| God will make this happen, for he who calls you is faithful. | The one who calls you is faithful, and he will do this. |
