It is the Lord, your God, whom you are to follow. You must fear him and observe his commandments and obey what he tells you and serve him and hold fast to him. For God did not give us a spirit of timidity but rather a spirit of power and of love and of wisdom. 2 Timothy 1:7	For God has not given us a spirit of timidity, but of power and love and discipline. love self-control strength
I, I alone, am the one who comforts you. Why then do you fear mortal men who must die, human beings who must perish like grass? Isaiah 51:12	I, I Myself, am He who comforts you. Who are you that you are afraid of mortal man, And of a son of man who is made like grass. comforter fear encouragement
Therefore, we can say with confidence: “The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can anyone do to me?” Hebrews 13:6	So that we confidently say, “The Lord is my helper, I will not be afraid. What will man do to me?” trust fear protection
And so now, O Israel, what does the Lord, your God, require of you but to fear the Lord, your God, to walk in all of his ways, to love him, to serve the Lord, your God, with all your heart and all your soul, and to observe the commandments and the statutes that I am giving you today for your own good. Blessed are those who trust in the Lord and whose hope is the Lord. They will be like a tree planted by the water that spreads out its roots to the stream. When the heat comes, it does not fear; its leaves stay green. It is not concerned in a year of drought, and it never fails to bear fruit. Jeremiah 17:7-8	Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, And whose trust is the Lord. Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified of them, for the Lord, your God, is going forth with you. He will never leave you or abandon you.
