For you did not receive a spirit of slavery leading to fear; rather, you received the Spirit of adoption, enabling us to cry out, “Abba! Father!”For you didn’t receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption, by whom we cry, “Abba! Father!”
How great is your goodness, O Lord, which you have stored up for those who fear you and which you bestow on those who take refuge in you, in the presence of all the people.Oh how great is your goodness, which you have laid up for those who fear you, which you have worked for those who take refuge in you, before the sons of men!
Therefore, observe the commandments of the Lord, your God. Walk in his ways and fear him.You shall keep the commandments of Yahweh your God, to walk in his ways, and to fear him.
Now let the fear of the Lord be upon you. Be careful in your judgments, for the Lord, our God, will not tolerate the perversion of justice, or partiality, or the taking of bribes.Now therefore let the fear of Yahweh be on you. Take heed and do it; for there is no iniquity with Yahweh our God, nor respect of persons, nor taking of bribes.
Oh, that they would have fear of me in their hearts and they would observe all of my commandments always. Then things would go well with them and their children forever.Oh that there were such a heart in them that they would fear me and keep all my commandments always, that it might be well with them and with their children forever!
It is the Lord, your God, whom you are to follow. You must fear him and observe his commandments and obey what he tells you and serve him and hold fast to him.You shall walk after Yahweh your God, fear him, keep his commandments, and obey his voice. You shall serve him, and cling to him.
With the Lord to protect me I am not afraid. What can mortals do to me?Yahweh is on my side. I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?
Meanwhile, the Church throughout Judea, Galilee, and Samaria enjoyed peace, building up strength and living in the fear of the Lord. Encouraged by the Holy Spirit, the Church grew in numbers.So the assemblies throughout all Judea, Galilee, and Samaria had peace and were built up. They were multiplied, walking in the fear of the Lord and in the comfort of the Holy Spirit.
Since we have these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from anything that can defile flesh or spirit, and thereby make our holiness perfect in the fear of God.Having therefore these promises, beloved, let’s cleanse ourselves from all defilement of flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.
But for you who fear my name the sun of justice will arise with its healing rays. You will emerge leaping like calves released from the stall.But to you who fear my name shall the sun of righteousness arise with healing in its wings. You will go out and leap like calves of the stall.
In God, whose word I praise, in God I place my trust and know no fear; what can people do to me?In God, I praise his word. In God, I put my trust. I will not be afraid. What can flesh do to me?
Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be afraid, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and give you help, I will uphold you with my victorious right hand.Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness.
I treasure your word in my heart for fear that I may sin against you.I have hidden your word in my heart, that I might not sin against you.
But from everlasting to everlasting the kindness of the Lord is with those who fear him, and his righteousness with their children’s children, with those who keep his covenant and diligently observe his commandments.But Yahweh’s loving kindness is from everlasting to everlasting with those who fear him, his righteousness to children’s children, to those who keep his covenant, to those who remember to obey his precepts.
For God did not give us a spirit of timidity but rather a spirit of power and of love and of wisdom.For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control.
I, I alone, am the one who comforts you. Why then do you fear mortal men who must die, human beings who must perish like grass?I, even I, am he who comforts you. Who are you, that you are afraid of man who shall die, and of the son of man who will be made as grass?
Teach me your ways, O Lord, so that I may walk in your truth; let me worship your name with an undivided heart.Teach me your way, Yahweh. I will walk in your truth. Make my heart undivided to fear your name.
Therefore, we can say with confidence: “The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can anyone do to me?”So that with good courage we say, “The Lord is my helper. I will not fear. What can man do to me?”
Alleluia. Blessed is the man who fears the Lord, who greatly delights in his precepts.Praise Yah! Blessed is the man who fears Yahweh, who delights greatly in his commandments.
Rather, I discipline my body and bring it under control, for fear that after preaching to others I myself may be disqualified.But I beat my body and bring it into submission, lest by any means, after I have preached to others, I myself should be disqualified.
And so now, O Israel, what does the Lord, your God, require of you but to fear the Lord, your God, to walk in all of his ways, to love him, to serve the Lord, your God, with all your heart and all your soul, and to observe the commandments and the statutes that I am giving you today for your own good.Now, Israel, what does Yahweh your God require of you, but to fear Yahweh your God, to walk in all his ways, to love him, and to serve Yahweh your God with all your heart and with all your soul, to keep Yahweh’s commandments and statutes, which I command you today for your good?
Then Peter addressed them: “I now understand how true it is that God has no favorites, but that in every nation all those who fear God and do what is right are acceptable to him.”Peter opened his mouth and said, “Truly I perceive that God doesn’t show favoritism; but in every nation he who fears him and works righteousness is acceptable to him.”
Blessed are those who trust in the Lord and whose hope is the Lord. They will be like a tree planted by the water that spreads out its roots to the stream. When the heat comes, it does not fear; its leaves stay green. It is not concerned in a year of drought, and it never fails to bear fruit.Blessed is the man who trusts in Yahweh, and whose confidence is in Yahweh. For he will be as a tree planted by the waters, who spreads out its roots by the river, and will not fear when heat comes, but its leaf will be green, and will not be concerned in the year of drought. It won’t cease from yielding fruit.
When Jesus heard this, he said, “Do not be afraid. Just have faith, and she will be saved.”But Jesus hearing it, answered him, “Don’t be afraid. Only believe, and she will be healed.”
Do not be afraid or dismayed, the Lord will go before you; he will not fail or forsake you.Yahweh himself is who goes before you. He will be with you. He will not fail you nor forsake you. Don’t be afraid. Don’t be discouraged.

Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified of them, for the Lord, your God, is going forth with you. He will never leave you or abandon you.Be strong and courageous. Don’t be afraid or scared of them, for Yahweh your God himself is who goes with you. He will not fail you nor forsake you.
