Bible Verses about 'For'

And he is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the sins of the whole world. And he is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not for ours only, but also for the whole world.
For his anger is but for a moment; his favor is for a lifetime. Weeping may linger for the night, but joy comes with the morning. For his anger is but for a moment. His favor is for a lifetime. Weeping may stay for the night, but joy comes in the morning.
For nothing will be impossible with God.For nothing spoken by God is impossible.
But if we hope for what we do not see, we wait for it with patience. But if we hope for that which we don’t see, we wait for it with patience.
As a deer longs for flowing streams, so my soul longs for you, O God.As the deer pants for the water brooks, so my soul pants after you, God.
For the love of Christ urges us on, because we are convinced that one has died for all; therefore all have died. And he died for all, so that those who live might live no longer for themselves, but for him who died and was raised for them. For the love of Christ compels us; because we judge thus: that one died for all, therefore all died. He died for all, that those who live should no longer live to themselves, but to him who for their sakes died and rose again.
Speak out for those who cannot speak, for the rights of all the destitute.Open your mouth for the mute, in the cause of all who are left desolate.
For surely I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord, plans for your welfare and not for harm, to give you a future with hope.“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you,” says Yahweh, “thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future.”
Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled.Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled.
Protect me, O God, for in you I take refuge.Preserve me, God, for I take refuge in you.
For while we were still weak, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly. For while we were yet weak, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly.
My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When shall I come and behold the face of God?My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When shall I come and appear before God?
For we walk by faith, not by sight. For we walk by faith, not by sight.
O give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; for his steadfast love endures forever.Oh give thanks to Yahweh, for he is good, for his loving kindness endures forever.
For Christ is the end of the law so that there may be righteousness for everyone who believes. For Christ is the fulfillment of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes.
For God alone my soul waits in silence, for my hope is from him.My soul, wait in silence for God alone, for my expectation is from him.
For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven. For everything there is a season, and a time for every purpose under heaven.
Indeed, rarely will anyone die for a righteous person—though perhaps for a good person someone might actually dare to die. But God proves his love for us in that while we still were sinners Christ died for us.For one will hardly die for a righteous man. Yet perhaps for a good person someone would even dare to die. But God commends his own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
All scripture is inspired by God and is useful for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, so that everyone who belongs to God may be proficient, equipped for every good work.Every Scripture is God-breathed and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for instruction in righteousness, that each person who belongs to God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.
For the creation waits with eager longing for the revealing of the children of God.For the creation waits with eager expectation for the children of God to be revealed.
For the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life a ransom for many. For the Son of Man also came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.

This means understanding that the law is laid down not for the innocent but for the lawless and disobedient, for the godless and sinful, for the unholy and profane, for those who kill their father or mother, for murderers, fornicators, sodomites, slave traders, liars, perjurers, and whatever else is contrary to the sound teaching that conforms to the glorious gospel of the blessed God, which he entrusted to me.As knowing this, that law is not made for a righteous person, but for the lawless and insubordinate, for the ungodly and sinners, for the unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers, for the sexually immoral, for homosexuals, for slave-traders, for liars, for perjurers, and for any other thing contrary to the sound doctrine, according to the Good News of the glory of the blessed God, which was committed to my trust.
For those who want to save their life will lose it, and those who lose their life for my sake, and for the sake of the gospel, will save it.For whoever wants to save his life will lose it; and whoever will lose his life for my sake and the sake of the Good News will save it.

Do not work for the food that perishes, but for the food that endures for eternal life, which the Son of Man will give you. For it is on him that God the Father has set his seal.Don’t work for the food which perishes, but for the food which remains to eternal life, which the Son of Man will give to you. For God the Father has sealed him.
