Bible Verses about 'For'

And he is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the sins of the whole world. And He Himself is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the whole world.
For his anger is but for a moment; his favor is for a lifetime. Weeping may linger for the night, but joy comes with the morning. For His anger is but for a moment, His favor is for life; Weeping may endure for a night, But joy comes in the morning.
For nothing will be impossible with God.For with God nothing will be impossible.
But if we hope for what we do not see, we wait for it with patience. But if we hope for what we do not see, we eagerly wait for it with perseverance.
As a deer longs for flowing streams, so my soul longs for you, O God.As the deer pants for the water brooks, So pants my soul for You, O God.
For the love of Christ urges us on, because we are convinced that one has died for all; therefore all have died. And he died for all, so that those who live might live no longer for themselves, but for him who died and was raised for them. For the love of Christ compels us, because we judge thus: that if One died for all, then all died; and He died for all, that those who live should live no longer for themselves, but for Him who died for them and rose again.
Speak out for those who cannot speak, for the rights of all the destitute.Open your mouth for the speechless, In the cause of all who are appointed to die.
For surely I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord, plans for your welfare and not for harm, to give you a future with hope. For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.

My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When shall I come and behold the face of God?My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When shall I come and appear before God?
For we walk by faith, not by sight. For we walk by faith, not by sight.
O give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; for his steadfast love endures forever.Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever.
For Christ is the end of the law so that there may be righteousness for everyone who believes. For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes.
For God alone my soul waits in silence, for my hope is from him.My soul, wait silently for God alone, For my expectation is from Him.
For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven. To everything there is a season, A time for every purpose under heaven.
Indeed, rarely will anyone die for a righteous person—though perhaps for a good person someone might actually dare to die. But God proves his love for us in that while we still were sinners Christ died for us.For scarcely for a righteous man will one die; yet perhaps for a good man someone would even dare to die. But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
All scripture is inspired by God and is useful for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, so that everyone who belongs to God may be proficient, equipped for every good work. All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.

This means understanding that the law is laid down not for the innocent but for the lawless and disobedient, for the godless and sinful, for the unholy and profane, for those who kill their father or mother, for murderers, fornicators, sodomites, slave traders, liars, perjurers, and whatever else is contrary to the sound teaching that conforms to the glorious gospel of the blessed God, which he entrusted to me.Knowing this: that the law is not made for a righteous person, but for the lawless and insubordinate, for the ungodly and for sinners, for the unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers, for fornicators, for sodomites, for kidnappers, for liars, for perjurers, and if there is any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine, according to the glorious gospel of the blessed God which was committed to my trust.
