| But among you there must not be even a hint of sexual immorality, or of any kind of impurity, or of greed, because these are improper for God’s holy people. | But fornication and all uncleanness or covetousness, let it not even be named among you, as is fitting for saints. |
| Flee from sexual immorality. All other sins a person commits are outside the body, but whoever sins sexually, sins against their own body. | Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. |

| Put to death, therefore, whatever belongs to your earthly nature: sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires and greed, which is idolatry. | Therefore put to death your members which are on the earth: fornication, uncleanness, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry. |
| The acts of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God. | Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. |
| But since sexual immorality is occurring, each man should have sexual relations with his own wife, and each woman with her own husband. | Nevertheless, because of sexual immorality, let each man have his own wife, and let each woman have her own husband. |
| It is God’s will that you should be sanctified: that you should avoid sexual immorality; that each of you should learn to control your own body in a way that is holy and honorable, not in passionate lust like the pagans, who do not know God. | For this is the will of God, your sanctification: that you should abstain from sexual immorality; that each of you should know how to possess his own vessel in sanctification and honor, not in passion of lust, like the Gentiles who do not know God. |
| He went on: “What comes out of a person is what defiles them. For it is from within, out of a person’s heart, that evil thoughts come—sexual immorality, theft, murder, adultery, greed, malice, deceit, lewdness, envy, slander, arrogance and folly. All these evils come from inside and defile a person.” | And He said, “What comes out of a man, that defiles a man. For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lewdness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness. All these evil things come from within and defile a man.” |
| And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. | And forgive us our debts, As we forgive our debtors. |
| Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. | Bearing with one another, and forgiving one another, if anyone has a complaint against another; even as Christ forgave you, so you also must do. |
| But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins. | But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses. |
| Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you. | And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you. |
| For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. | For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. |
| And so I tell you, every kind of sin and slander can be forgiven, but blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven. | Therefore I say to you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven men, but the blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven men. |
| Do not judge, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven. | Judge not, and you shall not be judged. Condemn not, and you shall not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven. |
| You, Lord, are forgiving and good, abounding in love to all who call to you. | For You, Lord, are good, and ready to forgive, And abundant in mercy to all those who call upon You. |

| And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive them, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins. | And whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him, that your Father in heaven may also forgive you your trespasses. |
| The Lord is with you when you are with him. If you seek him, he will be found by you, but if you forsake him, he will forsake you. | The Lord is with you while you are with Him. If you seek Him, He will be found by you; but if you forsake Him, He will forsake you. |
| The name of the Lord is a fortified tower; the righteous run to it and are safe. | The name of the Lord is a strong tower; The righteous run to it and are safe. |
| Truly he is my rock and my salvation; he is my fortress, I will not be shaken. | He only is my rock and my salvation; He is my defense; I shall not be moved. |
| Anyone who withholds kindness from a friend forsakes the fear of the Almighty. | To him who is afflicted, kindness should be shown by his friend, Even though he forsakes the fear of the Almighty. |
| Blessed is the one whose transgressions are forgiven, whose sins are covered. | Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, Whose sin is covered. |
| Truly he is my rock and my salvation; he is my fortress, I will never be shaken. | He only is my rock and my salvation; He is my defense; I shall not be greatly moved. |
| Since you are my rock and my fortress, for the sake of your name lead and guide me. | For You are my rock and my fortress; Therefore, for Your name’s sake, Lead me and guide me. |
| Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever. | Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever. |
