| But among you there must not be even a hint of sexual immorality, or of any kind of impurity, or of greed, because these are improper for God’s holy people. | But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becometh saints. |
| Flee from sexual immorality. All other sins a person commits are outside the body, but whoever sins sexually, sins against their own body. | Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body. |

| Put to death, therefore, whatever belongs to your earthly nature: sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires and greed, which is idolatry. | Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry. |
| The acts of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God. | Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God. |
| But since sexual immorality is occurring, each man should have sexual relations with his own wife, and each woman with her own husband. | Nevertheless, to avoid fornication, let every man have his own wife, and let every woman have her own husband. |
| It is God’s will that you should be sanctified: that you should avoid sexual immorality; that each of you should learn to control your own body in a way that is holy and honorable, not in passionate lust like the pagans, who do not know God. | For this is the will of God, even your sanctification, that ye should abstain from fornication: That every one of you should know how to possess his vessel in sanctification and honour; Not in the lust of concupiscence, even as the Gentiles which know not God. |
| He went on: “What comes out of a person is what defiles them. For it is from within, out of a person’s heart, that evil thoughts come—sexual immorality, theft, murder, adultery, greed, malice, deceit, lewdness, envy, slander, arrogance and folly. All these evils come from inside and defile a person.” | And he said, That which cometh out of the man, that defileth the man. For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, Thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness: All these evil things come from within, and defile the man. |
| And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. | And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. |
| Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. | Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye. |
| But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins. | But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses. |
| Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you. | And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you. |
| For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. | For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. |
| And so I tell you, every kind of sin and slander can be forgiven, but blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven. | Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men. |
| Do not judge, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven. | Judge not, and ye shall not be judged: condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned: forgive, and ye shall be forgiven. |
| You, Lord, are forgiving and good, abounding in love to all who call to you. | For thou, Lord, art good, and ready to forgive; and plenteous in mercy unto all them that call upon thee. |
| Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever. | Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever. |
| And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive them, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins. | And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses. |
| The Lord is with you when you are with him. If you seek him, he will be found by you, but if you forsake him, he will forsake you. | The Lord is with you, while ye be with him; and if ye seek him, he will be found of you; but if ye forsake him, he will forsake you. |
| The name of the Lord is a fortified tower; the righteous run to it and are safe. | The name of the Lord is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe. |
| Truly he is my rock and my salvation; he is my fortress, I will not be shaken. | He only is my rock and my salvation: he is my defence; I shall not be moved. |
| Anyone who withholds kindness from a friend forsakes the fear of the Almighty. | To him that is afflicted pity should be shewed from his friend; but he forsaketh the fear of the Almighty. |
| Blessed is the one whose transgressions are forgiven, whose sins are covered. | Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered. |
| Truly he is my rock and my salvation; he is my fortress, I will never be shaken. | He only is my rock and my salvation; he is my defence; I shall not be greatly moved. |
| Since you are my rock and my fortress, for the sake of your name lead and guide me. | For thou art my rock and my fortress; therefore for thy name's sake lead me, and guide me. |
| Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever. | O give thanks unto the Lord; for he is good; for his mercy endureth for ever. |
